Recovering

Hello all!

I have been jam packed the past couple days with work and fun happenings here in the Clemmons area.  I had a wonderful time going out to my new favorite bar here in Winston, Johnny and Junes, with a group of friends from work.  It was nice to see people in “real clothes” as we like to call it, and not strutting our stuff in our guard suits!

I did something that I have always wanted to do… ride the mechanical bull!  {{I apologize, there are no pictures… Next time, I promise.}}  It was actually so much fun, but my legs hurt a bit afterwards from squeezing the bull to stay on!  There was a ton of country music, more bonding moments, and of course the “after the bar closes trip to Waffle House.”

Needless to say, work will never be the same.

I also had the pleasure of attending West Forsyth’s graduation on Saturday.  If you are unaware of the schools here, West is the public high school here in Clemmons.  Over the years my family has become very close to an Egyptian family, and their second oldest, Islam, graduated from West.  My dad and I were the only two able to go to graduation, but we were very excited to be able to be there for Islam and his family.  I also had the pleasure of going over to their house afterwards for a graduation party/dinner.  During this event, I ate my body weight in Egyptian food  dessert, and had a few belly dancing moments.  Yes, I did just say belly dancing.  It was extremely intimidating for the 1 white girl in the whole house to get up and belly dance after a handful of girls that could shake it like you could not believe.  Maybe after a few more lessons I will be up to par… Yeah, right.  We might not be able to understand them, but by gosh we are going to have a good time trying! {{Talk of me going to Egypt next summer with them is floating around!!! I said next, I am fully aware it is not safe to fly out to Egypt tomorrow.  I really wanna go!}}

I told you I have had a pretty exciting weekend!

Day 3: Clouds

The weather here in Clemmons has been ridiculously confusing the past few days.  We will have the most beautiful afternoons and then once 4pm hits dark thunder clouds roll in and we are all stormed out.

Day 4: Something Green

I did not take this picture on the actual 4th day, but I think it is just too precious to pass up.  West Forsyth’s colors are Green and Gold, and well of course Islam’s graduation gown was green… I am sure you are following my drift here.  Eman, {{Mama Egypt}} was so proud of her son!  It was so precious.  I just stood in the back ground playing paparazzi.  They all looked at me like I was crazy and yelled crazy things… not like I could understand them or anything. ;)

I am off to bed now, I have a very important phone interview in the morning that I will just have to tell y’all all about!:)
