Glass Half Full

Well folks, we have reached the halfway mark to our week, and even though I have hit some rough patches {{i.e. crying what seems like all the time}} along the way it is still a good week!  You wanna know why?!

It’s almost the Fourth of July!

It may not be that exciting to you, but the fourth is my favorite holiday.  Seriously.  I just love the fourth.  I mean what other holiday can you wear the cutest red, white and blue outfit to?  Also, you spend the fourth by the water and/or the grill.  As a self proclaimed shoulda been mermaid, I love the fact that for the fourth families pack up and head to the pool, lake or beach and celebrate summer style.

My family always makes a point to remember that we get to enjoy our fun fourth of July holiday while there are thousands of soldiers fighting for our country that don’t get to be by the water, or spend time with their families.  So when you pack up and go on a fun vacation this weekend or whether or not you just stay at home, remember those that fighting for our freedom so you can drive down the highway to the beach or drive that boat full of family around the lake.  We are the land of the free because of the brave.  {{Just a little thought!}}

Now onto your regularly scheduled programing.

1. A secret project my mom has been working on that I just happened to stumble upon and decide to help her with. ;)

2. The fact that I get to see my cousin Beth for the first time in four years TOMORROW!!! The only thing that could possibly try and compare to this excitement is if somebody gave me free tickets to Harry Potter World and told me I was going tomorrow.  Just a little perspective for you.

{{Beth and me back in the day}}

3. Starting Friday I don’t have to work for 4 days in a row.  I have been working non-stop ever since I got home.  Guarding, teaching group lessons, teaching private lessons… on and on and on, and I am just so happy to get a break.  Nine hour shifts in the sun, and going back and forth between home, the Y and Salem Glen are starting to wear me down.  I was beginning to think that I was getting sick from going, going, going, but this break is going to be so great. Just gonna relax.

4. The “K” I got for the back of my iPhone case.  I got my mom a “D,” and I would show you, but she is downstairs…

K, well I have to go and teach lessons now.
