Rule #1

Yesterday, while us “big kids” were on the tube laughing and enjoying the fact that we survived, we realized soon that we would be put through the ringer again.  And by ringer I mean wake of death.  While we were celebrating the fact that we were still alive, we came to the conclusion that the first and most important rule at the Garlow house is: never feel safe.

Case and point.

We made it {{or so we thought}}

apparently not.

Never. Safe.

And even though we might not be safe, we sure do have a lot of fun!

This morning my cousin Beth came in my room at the crack of dawn and wanted to go running.  I sleepily declined her offer, but once I woke up I could not escape.  We went for a two mile run around the lake and had wonderful bonding moments.  When we came back we decided to do some serious sprint triathlon training and swim across the lake and back.  It was actually quite enjoyable.  I had a good time waking up early {{9 am}} and then going for a run and swim after my cup of coffee.  I swear no family on God’s green earth drinks more coffee than the Garlow’s.

There have been more many exciting things to happen this weekend, like Uncle Philip flipping ‘The Gladiator’ and me flying 20 feet {{and of course nobody gets a picture of that}}, but I will just have to save that for another post!

There is more fun to be had tonight here at Flat Top Lake.  The fireworks are tonight and I am just so excited.  I am having a great time with my great families!

Happy Fourth!!!
