Good Intentions

I take all of these pictures on my phone planning to upload them to this here blog and show you about my life, but I always forget or I just don’t want to deal with the phone updates on my iPhone when I plug it into my computer.  Well, today is your lucky day!

Before we get to fun pictures of my life in DC, let’s talk about Snow White and The Hunstmen.

I was excited for this movie, despite the fact Kristen Stewart was playing snow, but it was kind of bad. And by bad, I mean it ripped off several other movies. My friend Whitney and I were sitting there naming scenes from other movies that this movie heavily favored. There was of course, Twilight… then Chronicles of Narnia, Black Swan (kind of), and Lord of the Rings I, II, III. Charlize Theron was an AMAZING queen. She did a fabulous job, hands down best character in the entire movie. Chris Hemsworth, you are one gorgeous piece of man, and a great hunstman, but Bella Swan you just RUINED it. Every time you looked at her you thought ‘Twilight’. The girl only has about 4 facial expressions and you see them all in the first 5 minutes of Twilight and then again in SW&H.  I could see where the director was going casting her as Snow… but she has been type casted forever as Bella Swan.

As you can see, my life has consisted of eating carbs, drinking coffee, hanging out with Sadie, exploring the monuments (can you say free!?) playing softball and moving into a new office! Pretty exciting times.

In all honesty, even though there are times where I miss home more than I can breathe a lot, I am starting to really like DC.  I have moved into a new townhouse (back in April) so I have my own space, with my own stuff, set up just how I like it. I have started to make some really great friends at work, who all just happen to be southern, and I just started a brand new full time job. Don’t get me wrong, things were starting to look up before I got hired full-time, but things are definitely looking very high now that I have finally accomplished what I came to DC to do.

P.S I totally need to show you some pictures of my new room and new office! Stay posted.
