Technically, Labor Day marks the last weekend of Summer. Lucky for me, I am spent my last weekend in North Carolina. My coworker and I rode down to North Carolina together Friday afternoon. He is from Burlington so we carpooled. He fell asleep.
Oh, and the entire communications department has that picture. Can you say Christmas party?!
We decided to take a different route home, per Adam’s request, and ended up getting lost three separate times. If you know me… me and lost (unless it is of the Jack Sheppard variety) don’t work well together. After a solid 8 hours in the car I finally made it home to my family. I carried back my things to my room and found this on my bed.

One of my best friends that I miss terribly had left me a little present on my bed before she traveled down to SC. I only missed her by thirty minutes and would have caught her had I not been lost. I saw this on my bed and immediately just sat down and cried. She called me and I tried really hard not to cry, but it didn’t work. I don’t even care that not crying is one of my goals. I couldn’t help it. It was such a great surprise!
My little brother, Jacob didn’t take any time driving me crazy, and quickly had to be reminded of who’s boss.
If only beating him up actually worked.
My mom spent the weekend running errands to the craft stores and hitting up some small boutiques I had wanted to visit. I started Saturday morning with the most delicious coffee item on this planet. The Pumpkin Spice Latte.
I walked into the Starbucks and asked if they would make it for me. I knew they had it. The lady smiled big, raised her arms above her head and proclaimed that they did in fact have PSL and would make me one. When I say proclaim, I mean this lady shouted glory hallelujiah and started making my coffee. High-five Clemmons Starbucks staff, a giant PSL high-five.
On Monday night I headed to Charlotte to kick-off a bus tour for work, and have been on the tour all week. We can catch up on that another time. Just know that I am completely exhausted from being on the road for three days and am sitting in Four Seasons mall chugging a coveted PSL.
